Canada's Culture of Death...
We are in a very precarious place culturally and politically. In 1988 the Supreme Court of Canada ruled to decriminalize the murder of in-utero children and we hit our peak of over 108K babies killed by abortion by 2011. Abortion rates have stayed in the range of +/- 80K since. What does it say about a society that refuses to protect the vulnerable and defenceless among us? At the other end of our murderous culture spectrum is the 1993 landmark case of Sue Rodriguez opening the euthanasia pandora's box leading to today’s Medically Assisted Suicide. MAID for those suffering solely from mental illness is slated to be ratified on March 17, 2024, and it has been extended to mature minors. Most recently Canadians are celebrating Bill C4, legislation, we are told, to protect children from conversion therapy. A closer look at the legislation reveals that the language is so vague it puts at risk parental authority particularly faith-based teachings on gender identity and God’s plan for His children. Our current government celebrates gender ideology and cultism providing financial support for “gender-affirming care” not to mention the ongoing promotion of in-utero murder through publicly funded abortion. Parents/taxpayers can be kept out of the decision process for both. I recently commented on a Nova Scotia middle school teacher who gave sex toys to her class. How many people are aware that in Canada children can consent to sex as long as they are the same age? I didn’t agree to that, did you? The past three years have shown us how incompetent, infiltrated, corrupt, and indifferent our legacy political parties and politicians are. Our government bodies:
have persecuted good doctors,
vilified health professionals who practiced their ethical duties of “do no harm” and “informed consent”
persecuted, arrested, and prosecuted good citizens for expressing their beliefs that pushed back against the politically driven narrative
at best indifferent to the gender cultism, over-sexualization of our children, and laissez-faire abortion culture
at worst propagate it with radical legislation and tax-funded programing and procedures.
Do we ignore it hoping it will go away? Seems to me there is something about a milestone and deep water in ancient scripture that tells us that we cannot be complicit nor apathetic in this culture of death. We must take a stand and protect our children both in and extra utero! Pray and act. Faith without works is dead (James 2:26)
We Are In a Battle, Canada!
The culture of Death permeates all our institutions. We can have tax funded child mutilation and abortion while neglecting the ethical principles of "do no harm" and "informed consent."Canada needs a national referendum on abortion and Canada needs to shake the blood of the innocent if we can ever hope for a just and good government.
I am in Quebec with Pastor Art Lucier and we talk about some serious challenges that face this country.
Art Lucier explains "We need to stand loud and proud to defend our children from this egregious explicit pornography...if you are not going to stand for our children who will?" He tells us that pastors are being called to be at the head of the battle with those spiritual strengths. This a battle between powers and principalities between GOOD and EVIL!
