What Education Means ~ Matters!
The changes in the education of our culture have become so unsettling many of you have been prompted to ask me: “What do I do to protect my children? How can I consider pulling my child out of school? What kind of future will he/she have without a formal state-provided education?” Consider this quote from Andrew DeBartolo “If you persist in sending your Children to state-funded schools … you are handing (their) souls to be slaughtered by a cultural monster that hates you and the God that you love.” (Link for his interview can be found below in this newsletter). What is education and what is the purpose and end of education? To answer this question we need to know “who” and “why” we are. Either we are the sum of our material faculties, brain and body (organic computers), or we are a composite of a beautiful whole that encompasses mind, body, and soul. Which we believe will be the foundation of what education is and it serves us and our communities.Patrick Carmack explains there are many interpretations of what education is and its purpose. For simplicity's sake, he summarizes them into two types: classical and modern/progressive education. Classicism is an alignment with ancient Greek and Roman principles and cultural priorities which included the belief that we are body AND soul and that we are creatures created by a Creator/Good/God. It later came to embrace the belief that God created the world and imprinted on His children the desire to know, serve, and love Him, his Good, and His Truth. All humans share in this reality, and it drives a well-ordered mind and soul to seek to attain it. If our end is to know, love, and serve God, His Good, and Truth, then education must seek to form the virtues, habits, and practices needed for this end.In contrast modern/progressive refers to more recent times. In the modern/progressive model, the existence of the soul and any relationship with a creator is irrelevant. The main purpose of life is to excel based on what everyone decides is his/her priority. Our progressive culture places the emphasis on the individual needs and capacities of each child and "informality of curriculum." In this model education is fluid and adjusts depending on the needs of the culture it is serving because we are unique, our cultures are unique, and therefore our educational priorities will be unique. Education is a tool to help form the most effective coal miner who “will work until he drops without question” or a doctor who will never question the science. Just look no further than your local SOGI 123 program in which priority is given to recognizing the plurality of genders as each person perceives them rather than the reality of us each “beautifully and wonderfully made” (Psalm 139:14) by God. Modern, progressive education, in either denying or ignoring the soul, has left the body and brain to inform or program like an organic computer (transhumanism here we come). Harari explains that our evolution is a trajectory to our inevitable superiority which is almost godlike. The transhumanist agenda of the singularity in which we become gods a future renowned Christian scholar like C.S. Lewis prophesied and cautioned about.Make no mistake, the education component of both the transgender and transhumanist agenda are key to co-opting our children, indoctrinating them into the ideology and ultimately destroying the family, the biggest most powerful threat to the Marxist/communist/transhumanist agenda. If we give our children over to them 8 hrs a day we are giving them much too much access to the precious charge God has given us. Loving our children must involve ensuring we are equipping them with the necessary tools to be good in life. Goodness is more than material success, it involves service. The most important of those tools is to nurture in them a love of Truth, Goodness, and God, not to mention a strong sense of the beauty and importance of the traditional family. The failure of the above has been witnessed for decades, but most evidently in the past three years of government, medical, and educational tyranny of the woke and transgender/transhumanist cultism. There are options worth exploring, Church co-ops, community-based schools, and private schools. However, because no one will love a child or will be more invested in his success than his parent, is what makes homeschooling such an advantageous educational option.Here is a concise list of resources of alternatives you may want to consider and it is by no means exhaustive:

How Did We Get Here, Canada?
