Climate grifters, covid liars, pedophilia-infested government departments…welcome 2024!The French writer Jean-Baptiste Alphonse Karr (1808-1890) is best known for his aphorism, “Plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose” or “The more things change, the more things remain the same”.  This statement remains as true today as it did when he first wrote it in the 1848 publication of Les Guepes Magazine. What Karr was referring to was the primary truth that we may change some outward things, like our clothes, our friends or the political party in our country. However, the core of a person’s character or a country’s bottomless corruption aptitude … will probably stay exactly the same.      Another saying that goes back a little further also stated by a Frenchman, Joseph de Maistre (1753-1821) is “a people get the government they deserve”. He argued against the rationalist rejection of Christianity and cited it as directly responsible for the social disorder following the French Revolution. Are we there as well?   When a nation discards God, teaches woke, unscientific, identity-destroying agendas to children, has a grave disrespect for the lives of the elderly, mentally ill or unborn and stays silent in the face of pure evil … are its people getting the government they deserve? Is our society the result of our cowardice, depravity and indifference?    The questions on how we got here, are important. We ask discerning questions on the show every day.  What has happened to our country, and can we fix it?  Inspiration comes through deep, honest conversations. There are moments when we probe gut-level truths that shake us. We’ve fallen so far, is it too late to recover?  Do we deserve this? Is there redemption? Our guests inspire us to effect change. But we need to take that inspiration, take responsibility, and get involved.   Since we don’t have all the answers and these are unchartered waters in 2024, we put our trust in God and God alone. He is the final judge on all of it and each one of us.  There is some comfort in knowing, we are only responsible for our behaviour. If we "occupy", or do the will of the Father until He shows up, to the best of our ability… it is enough.  We can’t control the end of days, but we can prepare, and we can make Kingdom business our passionate pursuit.    For Fauci, Klaus, Gates, Soros et al, a word of caution:   Psalm 5:4-8 For you are not a God who is pleased with wickedness;    with you, evil people are not welcome. The arrogant cannot stand    in your presence.You hate all who do wrong;    you destroy those who tell lies.The bloodthirsty and deceitful    you, Lord, detest.But I, by your great love,    can come into your house;in reverence, I bow down    toward your holy temple. Lead me, Lord, in your righteousness    because of my enemies—    make your way straight before me. I hope you enjoy our powerful guest interviews and share them with friends.  Much love, Laura-Lynn
