Have you ever had someone tell you they are doing something for "your" best interest? I don’t know about you, but I like to make MY decisions about what is in MY best interest. Unlike children who are guided by their parents in light of their parents’ experience, knowledge, wisdom, and vocation, adulthood brings with it the expectation that we are now ready to leave our childhood behind. “When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.” (1 Corinthians 13:11)However, as adults, we get to choose our path and make decisions based on our understanding and critical thinking. We have the privilege of embracing responsibility and the God-given free will we are blessed with. Hopefully, our decisions lead to an amazing life where we handle the storms and victories with strength and courage, living by our deep-held convictions.I wonder if this is not one of the great malaises of our time, an inability to "adult"/a refusal to grow up.  Are some people more comfortable with someone else telling them what to do and how to live?   This is the current dilemma as we experience narcissistic, tyrannical governments and mega corporations currently lording over us.  Totalitarianism plus complacent, indifferent populations form the perfect storm for sweeping government policies, implemented by bureaucracies and institutions. Dare I say, evil ones at that. When we abdicate our responsibility to make our own decisions, we are left living in a culture where a small minority of driven dictators rule us. I said on the show yesterday, nothing makes sense and it’s like we are living in the Truman Show.  It appears that humanity is unable to assess and act on the facts in front of us.  They (the vicious rulers) have seized all, of what Lance Wallnau calls, the seven mountains of society.  From education to politics, the bad guys now seem to have the power.This last weekend a “masked militant Pro-Palestinian protestor” threatened police officers in Toronto, “I’ll put you six feet under.” The officers stared at him like deer in the headlights. We are seeing a new breed of violent radicals in our own city streets. Remember when Trudeau called in the “ugly suits” (with no names or identification) to shoot rubber bullets into unarmed, peaceful citizens in February of 2022?  The Coutts Four remain in jail for unproven allegations of threats on the lives of RCMP, while a vicious dude in a black mask threatens the life of Toronto Police officers…and with such confidence.  What was his penalty for such rebellion? Was he thrown to the ground like the little old man who honked his horn during the trucker protest? Nope! What might be the foundation of this lack of leadership among our police? Let's start with our legislators. Leadership needs courage and moral principles, not to mention a heart to serve. Can we say that our legistlators possess those characteristics? Consider the legislation passed that regulates our speech and modes of communication (Bill c36 and Bill c11), how we raise our children (Bill c4), and our ability to protect ourselves (Bill c71), to name just a few. All the while, we have handed over our sovereignty to control addicts, not leaders.Our responsibility is to pass on to the next generations the skills necessary to recognize a take-over, call it out and stand against it. We either embrace our God-given rights or we lose them. These tyrants know that by keeping us fearful and telling us we cannot understand the "complexity" of the issues, they remain in control.Our guests below highlight some of the realities of what happens when we stop taking responsibility for our lives, become cowards and turn away from critical thought. The best way for evil to flourish is "when good men do nothing" and good men CANNOT act with integrity and strength if they give over their decision-making and reasoning to any other power than GOD.God gave us this incredible ability to discern the times, with His help. There is only one solution we must courageously see the evil and raise a standard against it.
