A letter to you from Laura-Lynn Tyler Thompson

Actually, it’s been quite the battle!  Firstly, I hope your Christmas was amazing andyour New Year, 2020, will be spectacular!  If you need any encouragement,please watch the video which I shot on Christmas Day (link below).  It’s about God’s promises!

This last year, after being rejected from running for the Conservative Party of

Canada because of my stand against teaching gender theory to little kids inschool, I was able to put my name forward with The People’s Party of Canada andrun in two federal elections.  To the best of my ability and at great personalsacrifice, I stood for what I believed in.  I was called racist, homophobic,transphobic, a Nazi and much more.  The papers were not kind, nor my leftistopponents, but it didn’t matter, I would not bow to cultural bludgeoning.  Ourfreedom of speech is under fire and Canada is changing fast.  No matter whatpolitical party you stand for, we must ensure they are supporting our values andprinciples.

The left wing media will not report the truth on many issues and I realize that itwill be the unconventional voices that will have to rise and take the risks toensure that evil is exposed and facts are reported.  I spoke many times this yearon the proposed nation-wide ‘conversion therapy ban’ by Justin Trudeau.  Hewrote instructions in this letter he sent to Attorney General David Lametti onDecember 13th, directing him to 

“

Work with the Minister of Diversity andInclusion and Youth to amend the Criminal Code to ban the practice of conversiontherapy and take other steps required with the provinces and territories to endconversion therapy in Canada.

”

So called “conversion therapy” used to be mean strange things like electro-shocktherapy which was banned years ago.  But now, it means if a psychologist, priestor pastor wants to counsel a 9 year old against transitioning to the oppositegender and may even pray for that child, then they can incur a $10,000 fine, lossof credentials and potentially jail time!  Who will speak against this assault onreasonable medical and emotional care for those who are struggling? This is thegreatest threat against pastoral counselling we have faced.

Trudeau then added in his letter noted above: “Develop options for legalremedies for victims of hate speech.”  There are great concerns over what “hatespeech” actually is, to the Trudeau government.  It seems that if you disagreewith a lifestyle or worldview, it might be deemed as such.

This year we saw “conscience rights” for doctors come under fire.  Thegovernment wants to force doctors to euthanize patients or perform abortionsthat might be against a doctor’s belief system.
